Dilled Cornbread

3 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup yellow cornmeal
1/4 cup sugar
2 Tbls baking powder
2 tsp salt
2 cups milk
3 large eggs
2 sticks butter
8 ounces extra-sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
1 cup minced fresh dill


Combine first five ingredients in a large bowl. Add milk, lightly beaten eggs and melted butter to dry ingredients until most lumps are dissolved. Do not over mix. Add the cheese and dill. Grease pan or muffin tins. Bake at 350° for 30-35 minutes or for muffin 15-20 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
