An old-time favorite for good reason! California Wonder’s large, uniform shape makes it ideal for stuffing. Enjoy crisp, sweet pepper slices in salads and veggie trays. Delicious grilled, perfect for shish kabobs. Peppers left on the plant will turn a beautiful, bright red, and have more vitamin C than an orange! Good container variety, and dependable performer even in short season climates.

When to sow outside: 2 to 4 weeks after average last frost when air temperature is at least 70° F and soil temperature is at least 65° F.

When to start inside: RECOMMENDED. 8 to 10 weeks before average last frost. In USDA zones 9 & 10, can also sow in midsummer for fall crop.

Harvesting: Peppers can be harvested green or left on the vine to mature to bright red and very sweet.
